Professional Development and Well-Being of EU Project Managers

Professional Development

and Well-Being

of EU Project Managers

PM AGORA began in 2024 as an initiative created by EU Project Managers who felt the need to connect with peers across Europe to share the challenges of the profession, exchange experiences, and collectively find better ways of working. What started as a response to a real professional need has grown into an established space for development, learning, and community-building. Today, PM AGORA brings together EU Project Managers from across Europe to stay informed about the field, build new skills, meet and network with colleagues, and reflect on the human side of project work, including wellbeing and mental health. At its core, PM AGORA is about strengthening a shared professional identity and creating a collective voice for advocacy, collaboration, and long-term change in the sector.

PM Agora prelude: an informal Networking evening with Music, Drinks & Bites

Join us for a relaxed evening before the official start of the event, where you can enjoy drinks and refreshments while connecting with fellow participants. The perfect opportunity to break the ice, expand your network, and set the stage for meaningful discussions in the days ahead.

Why Us?

EU Project Design & Funding Strategies

Participants will explore effective strategies for EU project design and implementation, with a focus on adapting to policy shifts, unlocking funding mechanisms, and aligning with sustainability and innovation goals. Plenary sessions and interactive labs will provide actionable insights on how to respond to the evolving landscape of EU programmes.

Strategic Influence & EU Collaboration

This theme highlights the growing role of project managers in shaping EU programme dynamics. Sessions will cover healthy collaboration vs. competition within partnerships, the strategic use of lobbying, and how public and private actors can co-create stronger EU initiatives. Structured breakout discussions will offer opportunities for peer exchange and collective reflection.

Wellbeing & Resilience in Project Work

Recognising the demands of the sector, PM Agora integrates wellbeing into the professional dialogue. Workshops will address burnout, time pressure, and the emotional challenges of EU project work, offering participants tools to manage stress and sustain long-term performance.

Networking & Experiential Exchange

PM Agora blends formal and informal networking through thoughtfully designed experiences. From the welcome gathering on October 1st to team-based activities like the Larnaka Treasure Hunt, attendees will connect, collaborate, and build relationships in a relaxed and engaging setting.
